Welcome to paltamer.com, your ultimate hub for everything related to the Palworld TCG! Whether you are a veteran trading card game player or a huge fan of the video game looking to start your tabletop journey, this beginner's guide will cover all the essentials you need to know.

What is Palworld?

Before we dive into the cards, let's talk about the game that started it all. Palworld is a massive multiplayer monster-catching, open-world survival crafting game. Set in a vast world inhabited by mysterious and lovable creatures known as "Pals," players can battle, capture, and build alongside them.

Since its Early Access launch in January 2024, Palworld has become a global phenomenon, surpassing 35 million players across Steam, Xbox, PS5, and Mac! Now, that incredible adventure is transitioning to the tabletop.

What is the Palworld Official Card Game (TCG)?

The Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME is an exciting, two-player trading card game where you take command of a team of unique Pals to achieve victory.

The game goes beyond just creature battles. It brings the full Palworld survival and crafting experience to life through various elements like Gears, Events, and Structures. By combining these different card types, players have the strategic depth and tactical freedom to build their ultimate deck and recreate the true Palworld experience.

Brand-New Illustrations & Card Types

Collectors and players alike will be thrilled to know that all cards feature brand-new, exclusive illustrations! You won't just be playing a game; you'll be collecting stunning artwork of your favorite Pals. The cards are generally divided into four main types:

  • Pals: The core of your team. Use them to attack, defend, and utilize special abilities.
  • Gears: Equip your Pals with powerful items to boost their stats.
  • Events: Trigger these cards for game-changing effects during a match.
  • Structures: Build up your base and establish a dominant board presence.

How to Play the Palworld TCG

Are you ready to step into the arena? Here is a quick overview of what you need to get started.

What You Need to Play

To participate in a standard Palworld Card Game match, each player must have two specific decks:

  1. Main Deck: Exactly 50 cards. This contains your primary Pals, Gears, Events, and Structures.
  2. Soul Deck: Exactly 10 cards. (This adds a unique strategic layer to the game!)

Basics of the Game

The main objective of the game is to outsmart your opponent by utilizing the unique mechanics of your card types. You will play Pals, equip them, manage your resources, and attack your opponent to secure the win.

The Best Way for Beginners to Start

If you are entirely new to the game, we highly recommend picking up one of the official Trial Decks. These pre-constructed decks are designed to be played right out of the box, offering a balanced and easy-to-learn experience.

Once you have mastered the basics and are ready to customize your strategy, you can power up your Trial Deck by opening Booster Packs to discover rare cards and build your dream Pal team!
